Let the tests pass as soon as possible, leaving behind only an unconditional, the only possible, respectful attitude to people in white coats-congratulations to the rector of NSMU on the Day of the Medical Worker

June 17, 2021

Dear colleagues-professors, associate professors, teachers and employees of the Novosibirsk State Medical University! Dear students, residents, postgraduates, veterans of the university! Please accept our warmest and most sincere congratulations on our professional holiday – the Day of the Medical Worker!

Our profession is one of the most important, necessary and difficult. On the one hand, it requires from us the highest professionalism, dedication and inexhaustible energy, and on the other – charity, sensitivity and spiritual generosity. We bear the burden of enormous responsibility for human health and life. When we go home, we continue to think about our patients, worry about them, so the work of doctors is not work in the usual sense, but service to people. Loyalty to the noblest cause and a sense of belonging to the most valuable thing in this world – the birth and preservation of life – gives us mental and physical strength.

The worldwide pandemic has made the medical profession dangerous, with daily risks to health and life. The feeling of appreciation and gratitude for the selfless work of doctors and paramedics, nurses and orderlies has increased significantly in the society. Let the tests pass as soon as possible, leaving behind only an unconditional, the only possible, respectful attitude towards people in white coats.

Health, well-being to you and your loved ones, peace and tranquility, dear colleagues!

The staff of NSMU was awarded the State Prize of the Novosibirsk Region for their work during the COVIND-19 pandemic

June 11, 2021
The Governor of the region presented the prize to the rector of the University Igor Olegovich Marinkin, the Vice-rector for Postgraduate Education Elena Gennadyevna Kondyurina, the Vice-rector for Regional Development Konstantin Viktorovich Atamanov, the head of the Department of Infectious Diseases Elena Igorevna Krasnova, the head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation named after prof. To Sergey Vladimirovich Vasiliev.

For 85 years, Novosibirsk State Medical University has been faithful to its main mission – "to teach people how to treat people". Over the years, the university has trained more than 45 thousand doctors. In the Novosibirsk region, 95% of medical personnel are graduates of the Novosibirsk Medical University of different years. Every year, almost five thousand doctors receive specialization and improve their skills at our university. This determines the significance of the activities of the entire staff of the medical university.

The significance of the medical university for our region was especially evident in the anniversary year of the university in 2020. With the outbreak of the new COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, the entire Russian healthcare system was put to the test of strength. The health care of the Novosibirsk region was no exception: the work of all medical institutions had to be urgently rebuilt, and doctors of all specialties and nurses had to be urgently trained to provide medical care in the conditions of the spread of COVID-19. During this period, the importance and effectiveness of the close integration of the federal educational institution and the territorial health service was demonstrated.

Almost eight thousand doctors and paramedics were urgently trained in programs aimed at obtaining new competencies for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of new coronavirus infection. More than a thousand students, clinical residents, and employees of the university's clinical departments were mobilized to work in polyclinics, clinical bases, and call centers. The success of the work carried out by the university team is estimated by hundreds of saved lives of residents of our region. I believe that our region, I emphasize, our entire region, and not just the regional health system, has successfully coped with this challenge. The well-coordinated work of the entire team of the Governor of the NSD, Andrey Aleksandrovich Travnikov, allowed us to achieve success.

I am proud that I was born in Novosibirsk, graduated from the Novosibirsk Medical Institute and have been working in the healthcare system of the region for 37 years. An important success of the region was the commissioning of the most important structural unit of the Novosibirsk State Regional Clinical Hospital – a new regional perinatal center, which has all the conditions for providing highly qualified obstetric-gynecological and neonatal care to pregnant women, women in labor, women in labor and newborns of high perinatal risk. The project of a new modern regional oncological dispensary, a children's hospital of the regional hospital, is being actively implemented, new polyclinics are being built.

I am convinced that the Novosibirsk region is a place where conditions are created for the development and implementation of the most ambitious projects, a place where it is interesting to work for graduates of our numerous universities, a place where young people have a future!

Contractual obligations must be fulfilled – the university has passed a commission on the redistribution of targeted graduates

June 10, 2021
On June 8, the commission consisting of the Rector of the University I. O. Marinkin, the Deputy Minister of Health of the Novosibirsk region E. A. Aksenova, the Deputy chairman of the Novosibirsk Regional Association of Doctors I. V. Vorobyev, the Vice-rector for Academic Affairs A. N. Evstropov, the Vice-rector for Educational and Social Work K. A. Bakulin, the Vice-rector for Regional Development K. V. Atamanov, as well as the deans of the medical and pediatric faculties A. I. Novikov and T. V. Kartseva held a meeting with the target students who are graduating from the university this year.

The meeting was attended by six-year students of the medical and pediatric faculties, who are studying in the direction of targeted training from medical institutions of the city of Novosibirsk and the Novosibirsk region. These are graduates who have questions about the fulfillment of the obligations of the target contract. Recall that according to the contract on the target form of training, a young doctor is required to work for three years in the medical institution that sent him for training.

– All sixth-year target students filled out an informed consent, where they indicated whether they were ready to arrive at the place of work after graduation. We held a meeting with those who had difficulties and questions. During the six years of training, the circumstances could change both for the target person and in the medical institution where he should return. Our task was to find the optimal solution that would suit the young specialist, and allow them to fulfill their contractual obligations. We redistributed the graduates based on the real needs of the practical health care of the city and the region, " the members of the commission noted.
